I MAKE STORIES ACCESSIBLE

I’m Keidra Chaney—a writer, editor, publisher, and narrative strategist with more than 20 years of experience helping people shape stories that are honest, impactful, and theirs.
My work sits at the intersection of creativity, disability justice, and personal storytelling. I especially love working with disabled, chronically ill, and neurodivergent creatives, as well as anyone navigating identity shifts, life transitions, or the challenge of putting complex experiences into words.
As Program Director at Disability Culture Lab, I lead the Disability Rising Fellowship, supporting disabled leaders in sharing their expertise through media and public storytelling. Through my zinemaking with Wild Ramp Publishing and years as a writer and editor, I’ve helped people develop writing that connects personal experience with meaningful change.
My approach to writing practice and facilitation is collaborative, accessible, and rooted in curiosity rather than perfection, helping you build confidence in both your writing and your voice.
